ABOUT

My name is Tori and I'm a Junior at Texas Christian University studying abroad in the wonderful city of Barcelona with one of my best friends Liz Stallard.

Why TCU? The football, obviously. I am originally from suburbs of Chicago and came down to TCU to visit and absolutely fell in love with the school. Everything from the school pride to the beautiful campus made me decide on becoming a horned frog (yep, I went there). I decided on pursuing a career in business and am studying Finance at the Neeley School of Business. I was lucky enough to start interning at an asset management firm in Fort Worth called Luther King Capital Management where I gained insight into the world of finance and have been able to gain so much experience. I look forward to coming back and working part-time my senior year.

Why Barcelona? I have known for a couple years that I wanted to study abroad. It has always been one of those things that I know I have to do or I would regret down the road. How many times in your life can you live in a completely other city, meet so many new people, travel to other countries in Europe on the weekends, and live pretty care-free? Being a Spanish minor, I knew I was set on Spain and wanted to enhance my language even further so when Liz suggested Barcelona, I was sold. However, taking a semester off probably wasn't the best idea...I'm getting my way back into it!!!

I have a younger brother who is a senior in high school and still deciding on where to go to college and two loving parents who I'm thankful for to make this trip possible. They'll be visiting in April, so I am excited to show them everything I have learned from the city and hopefully give them a tour acting as a local.

I like cooking, going out with friends, being active, and taking pictures. For the past year, I have enjoyed following the stock market and am excited to be in NYC next summer working in Midtown. So far 2015 has gotten a great start and I'm excited to see everything that is has in store.

Peace, love, and tapas.
